Well, said, Michael: As one who's speaking from experience in your words from years of trials and adventures, I'm delighted you commented on this!

...Is it any wonder that the wildlife in TX is so varied and healthy because of sound and many years proven wildlife conservation practices on those private ranches, while here in California, wildlife is so out of whack because of government entities that run off politically correct politics instead of sound wildlife management?

Cheers,
Cork

Well done Cork,
It is so very crucial for the general populace to understand, and to realize the importance of land owner/stewardship and the extremely valuable role to which private land owners play in conserving, and preserving our hunting heritage.

And the one thing which all of the disgruntled individuals whom do not understand why a landowner even charges access fees at all, Is that the exorbitant taxes which landowners are charged each year (and rising) have to be paid somehow.
So when someone charges an access fee to their property, please remember that here in California undeveloped land taxes have gotten to well over 10% of the estimated value (A Value which the State determines on its own) of the land.

We won't even get into Fees, Labor, workers compensation insurance, liability insurance, penalties exponentially accrued for being late on those taxes and fees etc. etc.

In essence, the cost of doing business in California! And whether you are actually doing business or not is of no concern to the State.
They just want their pound of flesh from all landowners here regardless!

The hunting ranch owners are "THE" last bastion in regards to the sport of hunting here, just as in Texas, Europe and South Africa so it is going here in all of the North American lands.

Thank you so much for the mention too!
